HALLOWEEN 2008
We went to our wards trunk-or-treat the Saturday before Halloween and then went in the neighborhood with our neighbors, the Jacob's. Their son and our kids are the only kids in the neighborhood and they had a blast. All of our neighbors were very kind and the kids received many "King Sized" treats! :) They loved every minute of it.

Josh & Jesi w/The Jacob's
Jessica... the Beehive... as a Bumble Bee. I just loved this costume and am glad that she decided to dress up this year... she wasn't going too!
Josh as... Jango Fett (for those of you who are even interested, it's Bobba Fett's dad). Enjoy... this is the last year of Star War costumes... I told Josh we are going "outside" the costume box next year... we've seen Star Wars characters for 3 years now!

I am grateful for: Silly holidays that give us all something to look forward too... and the chance to play dress up and it be OK! :)

DISNEYLAND... yes, again.
A very nice couple from Singapore asked if we would like them to take our picture inside the Indiana Jones ride... I love foreign tourist, they are very kind!
For those of you that aren't familiar with the bamboo pole in the ride... if you tug it hard it will thunder and the ceiling will lower!
THE LEGO STORE
I'm sorry, but they can't really expect people to just look at these... right?

SCREAMIN' CA
Ken & Josh just love this ride... we've all ridden it but these 2 can't get enough!
They are there in the front upside down!

AUTOTOPIA!
Jessica was being ornery and wouldn't let me get a good pix of her!

Josh was driving as crazy as the 2 mile an hour car would allow!
Ken zoomed right by in the other lane... of course!
I am grateful for: A wonderful, fun, quick trip with my family and crazy memories! I'm glad that we were able to have Disney passes this year and lived close enough to use them... who knows if we ever will again but it was so much fun!

We're Saaaaiiling! ("What About Bob")

OK... so we were asked spur of the moment to go sailing with our friends the Gill's this afternoon! Wow, this was such a neat experience... I can understand why so many people fall in love with it! Among sailing... the kids all went walking the bay while I was at school, then when I got back we had lunch and went kayaking in the harbor with the otters, seals and star fish! We had so much fun with the Gills!!

The Gill's were so nice and let Josh have at it... teaching him a little bit about sailing.

Jessica & Josh... just relaxing on the way out of the harbor!

I am grateful for: Friends... new experiences... the beautiful Monterey Bay!

Angry Ocean!
The wind has been blowing a lot the last couple of days and it angers the ocean... There is no point of reference in this pictures to tell how big the waves are but the bay is usually very calm and you hardly see large white crest to the waves. It was actually quite pretty!

I am grateful for: The beauty of the ocean.
Rendezvous In Morro Bay!

We met the McVicker's (friends we made in Camarillo) in Morro Bay on Thursday and it was so much fun to just visit with each other as we walked the beach, had lunch, and browsed through the shops. Jessica and Elizabeth were friends first... then I met her mother and just loved her... then Josh got to know her brother and well... it's fun for everyone!

OK... this bird was posing, we were very close to him and he stayed there for his pix!
I am grateful for: The friends we have made in the places we have lived. We have had the opportunity to meet some really great people!

Salinas Air Show 2008

The Thunderbirds!
Ken took Josh to the Salinas Air Show a couple weekends ago. They had a blast and it is a good thing that the girls stayed home because they were gone for hours! Josh even stood in line for over an hour to get into the cockpit of one of the airplanes... he wanted to sit in the commander chair!
I am grateful for: Father and son moments that will last forever!
Just a Memory!
I forgot I had this picture of our old home in Colorado. I took it when we were back there in July visiting my sister and her family. The home next to it had recently had a fire and it looks like they painted our old house more of a teal like green. It is always so odd going back to where you were and reminiscing about the memories you made. All the trees we planted are so big now! I miss things about Colorado but I do love where we are living now. Mostly though... I miss being in the same place as my sister.
I am grateful for: Memories... the good ones for sure!
