Little Smiles...
I really enjoyed conference this weekend and felt I was open and receptive to the messages that were being shared, even the ones that helped me to realize that I wasn't perfect, not that I thought that I was but facing your inperfection can be hard.
I especially enjoyed Elder Ballard's talk and wish that I could go back to the days when my children were younger. I miss those little smiles... you know the ones you get when you hear them stiring in their beds in the morning or after a nap and you sneak into their rooms then quietly gaze at them. When they realize you are there you get the sweetest smile from ear to ear, sometimes followed by a little pout because you didn't pick them up right away!
What about the smile of accomplishment when they stand for the first time or establish a new skill. My favorite.... the huge smile and "potty dance" that goes on when they lead you to the restroom to display their accomplishment in the big white throne!!
I'm a snuggler... and I am still attempting to hold my poor children who are 4'5" and 5'4" and they are putting up with it! Their early childhood went way too fast and like Elder Ballard shared about the mother with the picture of her children on the grass... I wish I could remember more of what happened and slowed down a little bit!
So, to anyone who is reading this with small children, tomorrow will not be any better than what you have today. Hold those little smiles close and dear to your heart!

Tent Kids

I remember the days when I was younger and my brothers and sisters and I would make these great tents out of whatever we could find and play for hours. Jessica and Josh made this one today and played forever in it! They had a blast and begged to keep it up for tomorrow... I let them, even though I know it will turn into a huge mess. I was sneaky and got some pictures of them!I am grateful for: Fun moments with our family that will bring memories for years to come.
