The Family Theologian
Josh has many "theories" that he shares all the time, many of them are facts that he has absorbed and some are his own theories. I've decided to start posting these because they are the deep thoughts of a 9 year old who's mind never stops, and frankly, when he wants me to give him insight I am completely in over my head. So, if anyone knows, let me know!
Josh's latest Hypothesis:
I think spiral galaxies may be formed by irregular galaxies colliding. Basis for assumption: Elliptical galaxies are formed by spiral galaxies colliding.
But, mom, I'm not sure how irregular galaxies are formed.
I am grateful for: Questions I have no idea how to answer without an hour or two of Internet research!

Crazy, Busy, Exhausting but fun week!
This has been a long week... just a lot of crazy schedule, running around stuff... but full of fun!
Josh started wrestling this week and just loved it! This picture was of a kid who asked Josh if he wanted to be lifted up in the air... he's not much bigger then Josh! I don't think Josh
His wrestling teacher is the wrestling coach at Monterey High School and brought one of the HS wrestlers to help... it is a great way for a little "controlled" horse play!
I am grateful for: Crazy busy weeks.... that leave me feeling like I got a lot accomplished even if it is pure chaos at times!

Jessica just started a water soluble oil painting class. I couldn't believe how far she got in her first lesson. You can't tell much from her picture but she already had
the concepts of shading on her canvas.

Beach BONFIRE!
Ok... for all the time we've lived in CA, both this time and previously we've never done the "Bonfire" at the beach. OK.... sooo much fun. We were invited by some friends from church and there is a small group that meets every Friday evening to let the kids run and play while the adults visit.
These women are so smart... when it got dark they put the glow stick bracelets (from Michael's, 15 for $1) on the kids that way they could see the kids running around. My kids were in heaven. There was not one fight with any of the kids all night and we were there until Midnight! The kids called themselves the "Sand Clan" and went up and down the beach observing the abandoned fires that had been left by others who had already left for the night. There were rocks (nice, smooth, safe ones) for the kids to climb on and it was fun to see them jump down to the sand with their glow sticks on... because that's all you would see falling through the air!

Mystery Spot, Santa Cruz, CA...
We went to the Santa Cruz, CA Mystery Spot Saturday and had fun.... but I was surprised how many people were up there to witness this "phenomenon!" So, in my opinion... it's an optical illusion even though there are many other opinions. There are several "Mystery Spots" around the country as I found when I googled it.
I am grateful for: Unusual finds... that seem to entertain us all!
