Jessica, Debi, Ken & Joshua
Jessica, G'ma Cheryl, G'pa Mike, Joshua
G'ma & G'pa Hilliard came to spend Easter with us. This was so much fun, it has been a really long time since we've had grandparents with us for a holiday!

"Cotton Tail" as the kids named him before they ate him!

G'ma Cheryl worked with the kids after church and they made a really fun bunny cake together!

Another fun Easter with happy, healthy, wonderful kids!

Great Grandpa Billy Bert Hilliard's Funeral
February 29th, 2008

My Grandfather, Billy Hilliard, was buried at Rose Hills cemetary in California on Friday, February 29th, 2008 and his Memorial Service was held March 1st, 2008. Grandpa was not of our faith but my father was allowed to dedicate his grave. The services were nice and many things were shared about my grandfather that I did not know. For instance, his family was greatly affected by the Great Depression. After his mother died of TB when he was 13 years old his father packed up the family and they drove from Oklahoma to California where my grandfather labored in the fields to help support his family.
After talking with my children about their Great Grandfather's passing, I was told that Josh was in the room with him shortly before his passing and had told him that, "I really wish you didn't have to go, I am sure going to miss you." I thought this was a sweat memory and wanted to document it.
